IET Labs Receives A2LA Accrediation
Anonymous News Submission: "IET Labs, has recently received A2LA calibration accrediation. It strengthens its already unique capabilities in the metrology field. Its extensive line of standards, decades, and test equipment – including those formerly manufactured by GenRad -- have been used as reference and working standards by cal labs and businesses around the world for many years.
IET Labs, has recently received A2LA calibration accrediation. It strengthens its already unique capabilities in the metrology field. Its extensive line of standards, decades, and test equipment – including those formerly manufactured by GenRad -- have been used as reference and working standards by cal labs and businesses around the world for many years.
IET Labs, Inc. has received accreditation as a calibration laboratory under ISO/IEC 17025-1999. Assessment and accreditation were performed by The American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA), one of only two internationally recognized accreditation organizations in the U.S.A.
Calibrations performed under IET’s Scope of Accreditation (See either IET’s Web Site www.ietlabs.com or A2LA’s Web Site www.a2la.org) will now be reported on Certificates of Calibration, which include IET’s Certificate-of- Accreditation Number 2073.01. IET’s accreditation became effective 10 Feb 2004 and is valid until 30 Apr 2006.
For many years, IET Labs has operated in compliance with applicable calibration standards such as MIL-STD-45662A and ANSI/NCSL-Z540-1-1994,
the latter being the basic requirement for cal lab accreditation under ISO/IEC 17025. A2LA adds additional requirements that candidate labs must meet in order to be accredited by them.
IET’s accreditation formalizes and strengthens its already unique capabilities in the metrology field. Its extensive line of standards, decades, and test equipment – including those formerly manufactured by GenRad -- have been used as reference and working standards by cal labs and businesses around the world for many years. With accreditation, IET has added to its main operating goal of total customer satisfaction, an additional level of customer confidence.
