Dalby Calibration Description: Dalby Calibration is a free tool and calibration manager that handles calibration (external and internal) and general gauge management according to quality assurance procedures. RiskGuard - Risk Analysis Description: On occasion, out-of-tolerance unit under test (UUT) parameters are erroneously observed to be in-tolerance during testing or calibration. If such parameters are not adjusted, they will be deployed in an out-of-tolerance condition. The risk that this will occur is called false accept risk or consumer's risk.
RiskGuard determines test/calibration guardbands that correspond to a specified maximum allowable false accept risk. If a measurement result is provided, RiskGuard also estimates the false accept risk following test or calibration.

SigmaRound Description: The "sister" application to SigmaSurf has just been released! SigmaRound is a highly interactive software package allowing the user to experiment with filtering and reference circles as applied to software-generated or user-imported data files. SigmaSurf Description: SigmaSurf 1.0 has been well very received by the metrology community as an interesting tool for experimenting with surface finish data and exploring the effects of filtering.
The freeware version of SigmaSurf allows users to import data (through an ASCII file format) and study the effects of various filters while viewing the Primary, Waviness and Roughness profiles at various scales. Version: 1 Filesize: 1.10 MB Added on: 19-May-2003 Downloads: 1669 HomePage | Rate Resource | Details
SPCLimits Description: Statistical process control (SPC) can be employed to monitor a measurement process to ensure that risks are controlled to an acceptable level. In exercising this control, the process is checked from time to time by applying it to the measurement of a reference standard, referred to as a “check standard.” The difference between the assumed value of the standard and the measured value constitutes a deviation that can be plotted over time to maintain a control history, i.e., to verify whether it lies within a set of control limits.
Establishing control limits for a measurement process that is used to test or calibrate a given UUT parameter should be done in such a way that the maximum allowable difference between an assumed and a measured check standard value is consistent with a maximum allowable level of risk in testing or calibrating the parameter. Control limits established in this way are called risk-based limits.
SPCLimits develops control limits that are keyed to a specified acceptable level of measurement decision risk that would be present if the measurement process is used to test or calibrate a specific device parameter. Uncertainty Analysis Description: For some uncertainty estimates, we may not have a sample of measurements to work from. In these cases, we need to estimate uncertainty using our technical experience and knowledge. An uncertainty estimate obtained in this way is called a Type B estimate. Conjuring an uncertainty estimate from technical experience and knowledge is usually a difficult proposition. The information may be "in there" somewhere, but getting it out is tricky. What we need is a tool that organizes our experience and knowledge in such a way that a Type B estimate is obtained in a straightforward and unambiguous manner Version: Filesize: 3.59 MB Added on: 24-May-2003 Downloads: 2570 Rating: 7 (2 Votes) HomePage | Rate Resource | Details
