On occasion, out-of-tolerance unit under test (UUT) parameters are erroneously observed to be in-tolerance during testing or calibration. If such parameters are not adjusted, they will be deployed in an out-of-tolerance condition. The risk that this will occur is called false accept risk or consumer's risk. RiskGuard determines test/calibration guardbands that correspond to a specified maximum allowable false accept risk. If a measurement result is provided, RiskGuard also estimates the false accept risk following test or calibration.
